Piccadilly High volleyball team wins big

The boys' volleyball team from Piccadilly Central High placed first at the 3A Regional Championships held in Port aux Basques on Nov. 15.

The boys went undefeated throughout the tournament and were victorious over Port aux Basques in the championship game. Other competitors in the tournament included Appalachia High and Templeton Academy.

The boys' volleyball team from Piccadilly Central High placed first at the 3A Regional Championships held in Port aux Basques on Nov. 15.

The boys went undefeated throughout the tournament and were victorious over Port aux Basques in the championship game. Other competitors in the tournament included Appalachia High and Templeton Academy.

The boys then travelled to Twillingate for the 3A Provincials on Nov. 28. The team finished with a record of 1-2 with both loses coming in very close games. The sportsmanship award for the team went to Sean Benoit and in the skills competition Dean Hall won a silver medal for serving accuracy.

Piccadilly Central High hosted the 3A Girls Regional Volleyball Championship on Nov. 22. They fought a very hard and close championship game but were defeated by Port aux Basque and finished with a silver medal. Also competing in the tournament were Appalachia High and Templeton Academy.
