Feb. 13 SIFE (Students for Free Enterprise) Stephenville, College of the North Atlantic along with the Music Industry and Performance students will provide chocolate and a singing telegram to your valentine or friend on Feb. 13. Feb. 14 The Seniors Leisure Club of Port au Port West is having a potluck supper, starting at 7 p.m. and a Valentines dance will follow. Everyone is welcome.

Daffodil Days

Feb. 20 Kindale Library is holding a Pre-teen colouring-art contest. Pick up your coloring sheet from the Kindale drop it off on or before Feb. 20 at 3:30 p.m. Two prizes for best picture and one participation draw prize.
Carnival 09 Pre-teen Movie
Feb. 20 Kindale Library Board and staff and Debbies Video Shoppe will host the Carnival 09 pre-teen movie on Feb. 20 from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Gilbert E. Higgins Conference Room at the library. Free popcorn and pop movie to be announced.
Baked Bean Supper
Feb. 20 In conjunction with Winter Carnival, St. Annes Guild will hold their annual baked bean, touton and bologna supper at St. Annes Hall, West Street on Feb. 20 from 4-6 p.m. Eat in or take out; tickets available from any Guild member or at the door.
Bake Sale
Feb. 20 St. Augustines ACW will be having a Bake Sale on Feb. 20, at 11:30 AM at Stephenville Plaza. This is in conjunction with Winter Carnival.
Flea Market
Feb. 21 Bay Theatre will be organizing a flea market on Feb. 21 at Stephenville Lions Club. Now is a great time to do some de-cluttering as we are accepting donations of items for the flea market. Indian Head First Nations
In preparation for registration with the new Qalipu Mikmaq First Nation Band, Indian Head First Nations would like to inform its members that their Band files are available for pickup at the band office for the next three weeks. Members picking up multiple files can call 643-5215 to ensure quick pick up time.
Junior Curling
Junior Curling takes place on Sundays at 2 p.m. at Caribou Curling Club. Shoes are available for rent and a few curling brushes are available for free. Parents are encouraged to participate and may take part in the instruction at no cost.
Membership Recruitment
Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 35 are reminded that payment for the 2009 Membership is now being accepted. Payment may be made at the branch. If you have friends, neighbors or relatives who are not Legion members, bring them with you. If you are a Canadian citizen you can become a Legion member.

Volunteer Driving Program for Cancer Patients
Are you a cancer patient who is having trouble getting rides to and from the Treatment Center? The Canadian Cancer Society has the solution. We offer a Volunteer Driving Program. Easter Seals Aquatic Program
Easter Seals is offering an aquatic program for children with physical disabilities in the Stephenville area. The program will take place at the Regional Aquatic Centre in Stephenville and is designed for children with physical disabilities to learn swimming skills, improve strength and have fun.
