On Wednesday afternoon, Western Health issued the following schedule for H1N1 clinics. H1N1 vaccination is open to members of the public who have not yet received their vaccine including school age children who were absent from school during the school based immunization clinics.
Stephenville, Community Health Office, Western Health, Dec. 4, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Immunizations for children between the ages of six months and three years of age who require a second H1N1 vaccination should have their appointment booked and those vaccinations should be completed by the end of this week where possible.
As well, parents of children between the ages of three years and nine years who have a chronic condition (such as asthma) and require a second H1N1 vaccination should have their appointments booked for the second dose. If you have not already called for this appointment, parents are asked to contact their local community health office as soon as possible. Pregnant women who have not yet received their vaccine are asked to contact their local community health office.
As part of the H1N1 immunization registration process, persons are required to have their MCP Card with them at the time of registration. People are asked to wear short sleeves or easy roll up sleeves. If people have questions or concerns, they can call 1-877-632-H1N1 (4161).
